June Jewels: What I'm loving this month.
If there's anything that cheers me up in this world, it's shiny new things that I 100% don't need.
But look how pretty they are!
This leopard print bag from Bardot was in the sale at an irresistible 50% off and I decided that it must be mine, irregardless of the fact that I only nipped to the shops for some new hair ties. It was fate and I have no regrets.
Changeable from a cross body to a neat shoulder situation, it's perfect for day or night and adds a little oomph to the all-black outfits I always find myself in. Plus, its limited space forces me to give up my Mary Poppins-like bag habits which leave me unable to find my keys or phone EVERY DAMN DAY. It's a revelation to be able to get in the house without having to put my bag on the ground and rummage through it for 20 minutes. Especially when you need a wee.
Moving on to my second love, these espadrilles from Forever New are so pretty and practical and go with everything-able, but, and there is no exaggeration here, they as painful as child birth. I haven't actually given birth, but I'm sure they're on par. They are tiny Satan shoes and it makes me cry to even think about putting them back on. Still, I persevere and I'm determined to mould them to my now torn up feet before our big Europe trip, if it kills me.
So I lather my ankles up with coconut oil and wear them when I know I won't have to walk further than the car to brunch (first world problems), and then sport the rather sexy socks and sandals look at home in a bid to break these fuckers in.
I will win. Skin or no skin, I will win.
The other bits are my staple faves which have had a bit of extra loving this month. These Swarovski rings are just the right level of bling and I like to wear them separately, one on each finger, from my index to my ring one. They also look pretty good stacked too!
This NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss in Crème Brulee is such as easy shade to wear all day and makes me look at least a little less zonked in the morning (which is very much welcome, amirite). Go and buy all of their lipsticks right now because they are great.
And last but not least, my trusty Michael Kors watch which all of us bought in 2014 and is not at all original, but I love it.
What are you loving this month?
